I have been in the Navy for the past 6 years, serving as a Machinest Mate Auxiliary on fast attack submarines out of Norfolk. I have hands on experience doing maintenance and upkeep on various ship systems that include freshwater, seawater, high/low pressure air, hydraulics, O2 clean, atmosphere purification, refrigeration, sanitary, the diesel engine, and life support. I also worked with calibration equipment and did maintenance on damage control equipment. Secondary to this I also had to perform my military duties, such as armed watches, various underways, trainings, and deployments. During my time in the Navy, I also served at the Submarine Squadron as an LPO. I was in charge a division of people and was responsible for training and qualifying them while also maintaining a watchbill.Prior to my enlistment, I worked as an intern at United Tobacco Company in Wilson, NC.
