About Matthew Edgerton

I'm an Economist at Frontier Economics. We apply economics to markets, organisations, regulations and policies to help clients make the best decisions. Prior to joining Frontier Economics, I was an Executive Director at the NSW Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART), where I led IPART's economic regulation of the water and local government sectors in NSW; undertook pricing, microeconomic reform and/or regulation reviews of other sectors; and contributed to the strategic direction and management of IPART as part of the Executive Leadership Team. I've also had stints as a Senior Economist at the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), and as a Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) Economics team. My professional experience has allowed me to build on my Bachelor of Economics and Master of Environmental Studies, to develop strong knowledge and skills in economics, regulation and public policy.
