I'm passionate about delivering high-impact, innovative solutions to social problems and cultivating healthier communities. I believe in the power of dialogue, empathy and lived experience to break down barriers. My goal is to invest in people, so they can realise their potential to help others. My role with Active Tasmania aims to develop a safe, fair and inclusive sector for sport and recreation - recognising the physical, mental social and cultural impact of sport and active recreation on the community. This follows on from my work in The Big Issue's community soccer program using the power of sport and connection to improve the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and exclusion. In my study, I launched an initiative to support students support themselves and their peers with mental health. This journey has connected me with many people who share a vision of a society open to help-seeking, free of stigma, and equipped to have important conversations.Because of my family's history, supporting migrants is close to my heart. I have worked in migration law and volunteered supporting migrants. I love connecting with new people, so please feel free to reach out.
