I have spent over 6 years in manufacturing including the last three years as a SERE trainee for Schneider Electric at their Flint plant. I have taken on a number of roles in my current position, including monthly H&S and sustainability monitoring and reporting, facility management, COSHH Control and contractor management, amongst various other projects/roles. I have completed IOSH Managing safely, and am currently undertaking the NEBOSH general certificate, along with 3 years experience in my current role I also have NEBOSH accredited risk Assessment training, I am a trained manual handling trainer, I also hold a racking inspection certification along with being a trained fire warden.In the near future I will be looking into the environment and facility management aspects a lot more as this is where I feel my strengths are. I would like to also complete the NEBOSH qualification in the environment before long. I try and support the plant as much as possible in terms of sustainability for example I actively encourage cutting use of electric, paper and water wherever possible. I am currently managing a seed planting event which is actively encouraging staff members to plant some seeds and look after them, to the point where they can take them home and put them in their own gardens. as a site Schneider Electric Flint does a fair amount of charity work which I am involved in, whether it be organising an Easter egg collection for a local charity to collecting food hampers for the local food banks during Lockdown. This is a real passion of mine and something I would look to be getting more involved with in the future.I try and complete as much training as I can as I believe a varied amount of knowledge is beneficial to improving my performance from day to day.
