Responsible for the promotion, development and quality assurance of classroom practice.Whole school literacy, line management of the Literacy department and the Learning Resource Centre‘Critical friend’ to underperforming staff. Re-development of the academy marking and literacy policies - praised by Ofsted.Strong eye for data and use of key performance indicators to identify trends and introduce effective and timely intervention strategies.Liaised with SLT to develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures which raise the standard of teaching and thus, the achievement and progress of all pupils. Led and quality assured the performance of 15 tutors at an ‘Outstanding’ school and was responsible for the behaviour, achievement and progress of 250 pupils across years 7–11. Supporting transition from KS2 to 3, curriculum choices for KS4, evaluating and amending curriculum pathways in response to underachievement and preparing pupils for KS5 or employment.
