I am seeking employment in the informal education field. My interests and skills range from natural science, computer programming, STEM and many types of the most popular Maker-style technologies. I have worked in the fields of ecology, GIS, isotopic analysis, computer programming, electronics, robotics, 3D modeling, museum exhibit design/construction and science education (among others). I enjoy working with people, using technology to solve problems and have been a NASA nerd for as long as I can remember.Currently I am the director of the Visual World Investigate Lab at the Nature Research Center, a recent addition to the world-class North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. There I manage and develop content for highly specialized computer stations, a Maker Space, and lesson plans for classes I teach on everything from robotics to climate change.Projects I have created from scratch include scientific visualizations, robots, augmented reality stations and virtual reality headsets (like the Oculus Rift) using various microcontrollers, 3D modeling, and 3D printing technologies.Twitter: www.twitter.com/MatthewLFaerberCurrent Projects/Profile: www.matthewfaerber.com
