About Matthew Gibson

Professor and Entrepreneur. Research into biomaterials. Particular expertise in polymers, new materials for biologic cryopreservation, sustainable biotechnology and innovative rapid diagnostics, underpinned by polymer/glycoscience. Co-Founder of Cryologyx Ltd - an agile spin out which will change how frozen cells are supplier to pharma and affiliated industries. Former Co-director of MRC CDT in Biomedical Technologies and Industry engagement lead. Currently a Royal Society Industry Research Fellow with Cytiva (formally GE healthcare). Current ERC Consolidator Grantee.
