Various roles and responsibilities to assist with the development and testing of Waterloo rocketry’s hybrid propulsion system. Tasks include component assembly and sanitization for static fire attempts and wet dress rehearsals, and the design and sourcing of components for a pneumatic circuit as part of a test injector valve apparatus.

• Identified and corrected deficiencies in the storage and handling of hazardous materials.• Pioneered safety initiatives including bi-monthly workspace safety inspections, PPE audits exposing inadequate protection practices and equipment, and chemical inventories.• Created, reviewed, and enforced SOPs, WHIMIS protocols, and emergency procedures to ensure regulatory compliance over a 50+ member team.

• Designed parts using NX for RFA's Helix oxidizer-rich staged combustion engine, including new revisions of the main combustion chamber, primary hot gas conduit, and main fuel valve for performance optimization and mass savings. • Designed and validated a system for filling and handling pyrophoric ignition fluids. • Conducted extensive testing including hydrostatic, pressure drop, cryogenic and elevated temperature tests of critical flight hardware. • Performed a complete overhaul of assembly and testing manuals for the Helix engine incorporating lessons learned during initial serial production. • Assisted with the build-out and commissioning of a new test site for RFA's Redshift OTV.•

• Worked with a team of engineers to support ongoing deployment and improvement of the primary ship-board helicopter landing and securing system used by navies around the globe.• Made design changes to replace obsolete components, improve manufacturability, or address production nonconformances for application critical components using Creo Parametric.• Maintained comprehensive documentation of all design decisions and changes by submitting Engineering Change Notices/Requests and upholding strict configuration standards.• Gained experience designing to military specifications, working with large assemblies, creating and reading hydraulic schematics, and using PDM software.

- Produced and validated prototype fluid handling lines for OEMs including Stellantis and Toyota, using various production machines such as barb rollers, end formers, ferruling punches, and crimp presses.- Analyzed results of tensile, leak, burst and compression tests per international standards to formulate design improvements.- Used Solidworks and NX to create and update production drawings, with proper GD&T.- Managed an SLA additive manufacturing shop, including designing custom 3D printed solutions for various production processes and machines such as jigs, clips and locating fixtures, and troubleshooting print failures.
