Through two summer internships with a full-service brokerage firm, my budding interest in finance grew into a passion for the industry. By shadowing brokers, I developed a working knowledge of capital markets and trading operations within a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.As a junior at the University of Pittsburgh, I look forward to continuing my studies in finance and economics, and I am currently pursuing another internship opportunity for the summer of 2024.In addition to my intensive coursework at the university, I also took the initiative to attend a Bloomberg Market Concepts course this summer. I completed a program that provided a clear overview of financial concepts, including currency, bonds, and stocks. This course provided me with a stronger understanding of market operations.I am also an active member of the Phi Kappa Phi fraternity (Delta Upsilon chapter), where I was elected to serve as Treasurer. Through this role, I acquired hands-on experience in financial accounting, financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, expense management, and tax preparation. My main responsibility was to manage the chapter's $90,000 budget to ensure the financial health of the organization. I do this by approving funding requests, instituting financial controls, and analyzing financial and accounting data.Furthermore, I am tech savvy with proficiency in Java programming and Microsoft Excel. I possess excellent analytical and mathematical skills and can perform well under pressure of deadlines.
