I am a Sanctions Licensing Officer contracted to the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). My portfolio includes the Iran, Counterterrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Afghanistan and West Bank sanctions regimes. I review applications submitted by individuals that had their funds blocked pursuant to OFAC sanctions regulations by financial institutions. I engage with the applicants, often foreign nationals, to fully develop their application. In combination with open-source intelligence, classified finished intelligence, and foreign policy guidance, I then author policy recommendations of approval/denial.I have a Bachelors in International Politics from Penn State University. I have two associates degrees in Intelligence Fundamentals from the Community College of the Air Force and General Studies from American Military University.
