My professional background of 25 years allows me to be very adept at working with minimal oversight and being part of a diverse, multifaceted team. My experience includes fifteen years as a “boots on the ground” environmental scientist, conducting wetland and stream delineations, threatened and endangered species habitat assessments, environmental justice investigations, and land use evaluations. The field information was then used to develop numerous state/federal permits and NEPA documentation including categorical exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements. Supplementing the field work is ten years of project oversight and management experience that involves all aspects of project development including site selection/evaluation, hazard assessment, impact assessment, environmental permitting, consultant management, and construction oversite. More recently, the past seven years have been invested in developing and receiving the environmental clearances for the Mountain Valley Pipeline Project. I have been significantly involved with all aspects of the project’s environmental authorizations including FERC Certifications, Section 404 Clean Water Permits, 401 Water Quality Certificates, biological assessments, biological opinions, aquatic resource investigations, stormwater permits, floodplain permits, noise studies, and cultural resource investigations. During the course of my career using transparency, communication, and a commitment to achieving project goals while maintaining project compliance, I have established an excellent relationship within numerous state and federal agencies.Having this unique skill set allows me to deliver environmental clearances for difficult and sometimes controversial development projects such as the Mountain Valley Pipeline Project, Pennsylvania High Speed Maglev Project, and the Southern Beltway I-79 to Mon-Fayette Expressway Project.
