I successfully implemented sales strategies for large events in resort such as the Doctors Updates seminar and during peak weeks during February half term and Easter holidays. - I was responsible for the logistics of the ski school and acted as a point of reference for both customers and for our suppliers. This demanded the ability to plan effectively in advance and react to incidents as they arose from injuries suffered by clients to instructors not returning to the meeting point on time. - My duties included responsibility for the social media and print media content for the ski school. This involved writing articles for their online blog as well as being responsible for updating their social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. Show less

After demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and volunteering for additional responsibility I was offered the position of Resort Manager in the USA resort of Breckenridge. - Throughout my winter work experience I have been required to exceed sales targets for ski hire, ski lift passes and ski school lessons. These targets were determined by a review of previous resort performance. I successfully met these targets in all three areas.- As Resort Manager I was effectively running a small business for six months and I successfully completed the season with the resort under budget without sacrificing customer care or quality of service. During this time I received managerial training and developed my interpersonal skills - As a Resort Financial Administrator, my duties included liaising with suppliers in Resort for example; ski school, ski hire shops and bars that provided après ski for our clients. I was also required to resolve any issues or complaints in a calm and professional manner, this would often involve liasing with the owners of the properties being leased. This role made excellent use of my languages and developed my management skills.- I was required to be highly organised, impeccably presented and able to communicate with people from different backgrounds, often to provide solutions to problems, with different personalities and expectations and often in a different language.
