Since I arrived, we have significantly increased turnover year on year and now work on a 95% room occupancy from March to the end of October, remaining open all year rather than closing for a month in January. I have sourced, set up and introduced an online booking system, linked to OTA's such as booking.com, as part of a new website for the hotel, and have been instrumental in expanding our customer database to over 5000 people. In February 2009 working for AMS ltd I looked after The Tower House as General Manager, but in May I was asked to Manage both Hotels. Appointed as Head Chef to Castlerigg Manor, a Catholic Youth Centre providing residential courses for Schools in the diocese of Lancaster, and Holiday Accommodation during the summer. Between 1991 and 1997 was promoted to House Manager and took control of all the budgeting, staff recruitment, training, health and safety, food hygiene.
