Working in the School of Medicine: Center for Health Disparities and Molecular Medicine on a project modeling pre-term hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (pHIE) in perinatal mice to later study how the maternal inflammatory response affects neonatal mice.

Partnered with the Save the Manatee Club and Rytesport to raise funding for endangered manatees through the sale of swimsuit apparel. Raising awareness about manatees and their environment; providing elementary schools with educational material.
