In December 2017 I started a new position with an architecture firm located in Moorhead, MN. I enter my role as Project Manager at YHR Partners with excitement and enthusiasm to expand my knowledge, experience, and understanding of the architecture and construction industry.My held my previous position at IMAGE Group Architecture & Interiors as an Architectural Intern and Designer (unlicensed) since 2006. I began with the firm as a part-time student while attending North Dakota State University. Following my completion of graduate school in 2007, I accepted a full-time position to continue working at IMAGE Group, a role that I held for more than 11 years.Being employed in an office that was relatively small in size at the start of my professional career presented me with priceless opportunities. I gained extensive experience through my involvement in all the different progression stages for almost every project in the office, including inter-office business management responsibilities. This provided me with a well-rounded overall understanding of the many different aspects of construction industry which will help me effectively and efficiently execute my duties of project management.My architectural experience has included both public and private work, including medical, institutional, governmental and commercial projects. Identifying the diverse attributes of each type of project I've been involved with has been beneficial for gaining understanding of how the design process can differ between program requirements and client types. This ability is an important aspect of my role to the client in order to provide the best service and results possible.My career goals are to complete the requirements for professional licensure and create inspiring spaces for clients that appropriately combines their desired and programmatic needs. Providing appealing architecture and design that benefits the entire community is a responsibility owned by all designers.
