With the COVID Pandemic, there has been a shortage of PPE globally. Maskson has developed an alternative PPE solution when FDA approved PPE is not available. It takes advantage fo the breathing mechanism of a snorkel mask, and uses filters to protect wearers from COVID.- helped prototype initial iterations of the mask kit using a human-centered design process- Assist in testing designs using quantitative and qualitative tests, such as mask fit tests- Set up initial QA tests to check efficacy of mask kits- Use clinical feedback to better understand how the masks should be approved- Help distribute maks to local hospitals, ICU units and clinics

Koi Prosthetics is a company developing low-cost, adjustable prosthetics for amputees in develooping countries. I co-founded the company as there are few affordable prosthetic solutions in the developing world. I helped create an interdisciplinary engineering team with backgrounds in product development and orthopedics. Through top-down and bottom up research, we have extensive knowledge and feedback from amputees in our target country, Vietnam. I have collaborated with professors and companies to get resources for our design process. I use CAD software to run mechanical analysis on the designs. We also developed testable prototypes, to which we ran failure stress tests and are doing user research. My team is currently developing a universal, adjustable prosthetic socket and an active prosthetic knee.We participated in Brown University's Breakthrough Lab, a startup accelerator for Brown ventures. Through the accelerator, we developed a backbone to our business plan and the partnerships to get our products implemented in our target country. I pitched to advisors and investors for feedback and connections to the prosthetic market as well as foreign markets. We are currently finalizing our latest iterations of the knee and socket to do engineering and user testing; our goal is to create a fully functional prosthetic leg affordable for amputees in developing countries.

I am a monitor of the work space at the Brown Design Workshop. This workshop gives students resources to build and design projects. I assist students through their design challenges, and help them utilize their resources. I teach students how to use machinery and technologies that help them in design. I teach woodworking, metal working, 3D printing and laser cutting. I help maintain the space and try to create a communal space for students to design and build.

Mentor for Brown University's Introduction to Engineering course. I introduce students to broad, hands on engineering skills such as matlab, Computer Aided design, 3D printing, woodworking and metalworking. I also guide small groups in Engineering projects.

House of Lo is a part time catering business that also vends food at large events. I am a prep cook, set-up/ break-down, cashier and sales associate.

257 Thayer is an off-campus apartment community where many Brown, RISD and JWU students lived. I had multiple responsibilities as a Community Assistant. I leased apartments to students. I ran room inspections and helped organize move-ins and move-outs during the turn period. Most of my job consisted of problem solving. I resolved a variety of issues ranging from incomplete leases to financial issues to roommate conflicts. I tried to connect with residents and make them feel comfortable; I wanted to create a personalized experience for them.

Research Assistant intern in MGH's Sports Medicine Research program. I analyze the biomechanics of baseball pitchers, softball pitchers and gymnasts. We look for the stresses created by such movements and their correlation to common injuries in their respective sports. I use motion capture technology to study the mechanics and other software to analyze it further. My main job is to streamline data collection using matlab and visual 3D codes. I ran clinical trials of baseball pitching and batting. I co-wrote an abstract of wrist kinematics differences when previously injured versus healthy baseball pitchers throw curveballs. I also contributed to gymnastic hip studies and used TMG to analyze injury recovery in soccer players.I currently provide remote assistance and help recruit subjects.
