I provided leadership for the Bield Customer Services Department, ensuring high standards of tenant, owner and service user engagement, service performance and people and financial management. I worked proactively with Senior Management Team colleagues to address and resolve strategic issues, implement organisational change and define and plan Customer Services priorities for the year ahead.

I had management responsibility for housing and care services across a geographical area, leading a team of housing officers and administrators to manage voids, rent arrears and allocations. This role involved developing and implementing strategic plans for service change across Bield’s housing stock and identifying new initiatives for more efficient and effective working practices. I also dealt with tenant issues and complaints and provided oversight management for more than 100 staff in various roles.

I managed the Third Sector Interface (TSI) for Perth and Kinross, through engaging with Perth and Kinross Council and third sector organisations. I led a team to support various organisations to access funding, build good management structures and utilitise volunteers. I was part of the senior management team for PKAVS, providing organisational oversight, developing new organisational policies and managing change within teams.

I had Senior management oversight for housing and money and debt services and projects across the East of Scotland through Hubs in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. I operated across departments and led on community engagement, working creatively to improve localised housing policy and practice, including campaigning and media work. I also worked with operational managers and finance departments to provide clear and robust financial management of large budgets.

As a project manager with Oasis Mozambique, I developed and managed a variety of community projects focusing on health, the environment, social-enterprise and skills development. I liaised with institutional and government agencies on a regular basis to develop key networks. In this role I project managed 18 staff and was also part of the management team, playing a key role in shaping the vision, strategy and development of the organisation.
