Coordinates and supervises emergency medical services, daily operations and training activities and staff, both paid and volunteer through intervening supervisors; coordinates procedures and r develops and maintains up to date procedures manual for employees. Is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the delivery of emergency services throughout the district. Recommends needs for the squad; provides justification for recommendations; builds budget requests based on input of members, recommends and purchases needed equipment and medical supplies; ensures proper maintenance of equipment. Ensures adherence to medical and response protocols and SOP’s; participates in development, evaluation and revision of protocols and SOP’s. Handles personnel functions for staff; ensures training meets State certification requirements; monitors and evaluates work. Applies for grants and completes grants reports. Functions as Power of Attorney for schedule II and IV medications. Provides supervision over fleet maintenance and medical equipment and supplies. Responds to complaints, questions, and information about the services. Assures the maintenance and completion of records, reports, and other information required in this field. Prepares and submits various reports as required by local, state and federal governments; oversees filing and maintenance of reports, records, and other documents as required by federal, state and local laws and regulations. Attends seminars, conferences, workshops, classes, lectures, etc., and reviews professional literature, as appropriate, to enhance and maintain knowledge of trends and developments in fields of emergency services response. Maintains readiness to respond to emergency situations, as required; responds to emergency calls as needed; and coordinates the provision of medical services making assessments. My position requires me to recruit, train and motivate volunteers to accomplish many of the goals set forth by the squad.

My duties involved overseeing a security staff of 7 security officers and tasked with protecting and patrolling $60,000,000 in tribal assets. During Hurricane Matthew I was tasked with Emergency Management duties and assigned to coordinate with the American Red Cross to assist the Lumbee Tribe in the Hurricane Matthew relief efforts.

My duties include community policing and public safety, upholding the Constitution of North Carolina and its Statutes and Ordinances of the Town of Pembroke. Under direction, plans, directs, supervises, assigns, reviews, and participates in the work of law enforcement staff involved in traffic and field patrol, investigations, crime prevention, community relations, and related services and activities; serves as watch commander on an assigned shift; oversees and participates in all work activities; assumes responsibility for assigned special programs, projects, or department-wide functions or activities; coordinates activities with other agencies; and performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Served as the department’s SWAT Medic. I manage the planning, direction, staff, equipment and budget of the town's communications section of the Police Department, which receives and dispatches calls from emergency (911) and non-emergency telephone lines from citizens requesting police, fire and EMS services. This position supervises dispatch supervisors, dispatchers, call takers, radio technicians, and computer support staff. Employees working in the class work in the Public Safety Communications Center which is a twenty-four hour, seven days per week operation.
