Whether your prospective client is coming to you, or you are going to them. When I worked in retail I sold cigars to eager smokers. Once you introduced yourself try not to get carry away with chit chat. Learn from the customer's why and what from being at your store. After listening, I would pitch 3 options explaining how each stick would best fit their need.
