Facility management of the buildings, hardscape, water features, security, and event rentals. Manage four department within the facilities division. The garden consist of 15 acres of property with many interactive water features and our Crystal Bridge Conservatory. We have one restaurant and sandwich shop on the property. During the winter we change our seasonal plaza into a ice rink for winter entertainment utilizing a 250 ton chiller that we manage. During the summer months we maintain two interactive splash pads for the public to enjoy. Management of 125- 200 events/rentals facilities coordination and management.

Directed seven departments within the City of Yukon. This included total infrastructure management for the 24 square miles of city limits and serving a population of 24,000 citizens. Direct oversight for all city improvements and management of contractors utilized by the City. Directly responsible for managing 12.3 million in departmental budgets. Another role was to secure grants and funding for projects within the City. Coordinated activities with Oklahoma City Public Works that adjoined the city limits of Yukon. Coordinated staff and equipment for special events, this includes Freedom Fest, were approximately 20,000 people come to the park for a day of events on the 3rd and 4th of July. Supervised 54 full time, 5 Part-time, and 3 contracted companies. I also served as the Safety Director for the City. In this role it was my responsibility to conduct training, evaluate programs, inspect facilities, and administer the the program.

Assistant to the Public Works Director in the City of Yukon. Responsible for managing three departments. One of my key roles was to manage the capital improvements projects within the city. This involved oversight of contractors managing projects totaling over 15 million in capital improvements. As utility manager I was responsible for the maintenance and operations of the city’s utility and property infrastructure. This involved evaluating, planning, and management of the City’s 250 million dollar assets. Direct oversight of contract operations of our water and wastewater facilities. Supervise the City’s Property Maintenance Department, responsible for electrical and HVAC systems within the city buildings. As the assistant to the Public Works Director I was responsible for project planning and task assignments during city events and everyday operations. Another role is to assist with the management of the budget. This year took on an additional role as the City Safety Director, responsible for the overall safety of the city employees.

Trained all firefighters and EMS personnel. Assisted the Fire Chief with budgeting and equipment purchasing. Served as standing safety officer. Elected to the State training advisory board in 1992, and assisted with development of the confine space training program for Oklahoma State University. Serves as an advisor in confined space and industrial safety for the Oklahoma County Emergency Management. Developed fire pumper specifications and supervised the manufacturing of said vehicles. Later served as a trustee for the Eastern Oklahoma County Medical Authority, overseeing the medical clinic in Choctaw, OK.

Managed the Yukon, Oklahoma water and wastewater facility; which includes an 3-MGD wastewater treatment plant, 9 lift stations, 4 water towers and 15 potable water wells. Responsible for managing over 50.5 million of the city assets. Also, I work with the Department of Environmental Quality to ensure that the city is in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Assist the city leaders to develop a Vulnerability Assessment and Security Plan for the drinking water system and CMOM plan for the wastewater system. Serving on the Safety Council for the West LLC.

Responsible for environmental, health, and safety issues for all projects in the west region. Conducted inspections of facilities and met with city leaders to established corrective timelines. Coordinated with facility staff to develop creative approaches to facility compliance. Worked with city and contracted engineers in the proper design of facilities with the most operable components. This involved review of plans and communicating possible solutions to issues. Investigated lost-time injuries and made recommendations for reducing recurrences.
