• System integration and control for the automated fluid handling workstation for use with BioScale’s MEMS based bio-detection platform. Developed process flow for integrated system operation. Developed build and inspection procedures for manufacturing. Evaluated and down-selected OEM components including robotics, pumps, tubing, and fittings. Managed software requirements and verification of software features. Developed installation and field service procedures.• Provided design support, review and component evaluation for BioScale’s MEMS based bio-detection platform. Prototyped, characterized, and selected pumps and other OEM components. Evaluated design changes and verified functionality of custom components.

• Developed software and assisted in hardware and process development for an automated magnetic field scanner for qualification of magnet designs.• Developed improved jigs, make processes, and quality control for manufacturing critical instrument consumable used in conjunction with a peristaltic pump to provide fluid flow. New process brought flow variation from tube to tube from >30% to <10%.• Assisted in design, prototyping, and manufacturing of BioScale’s analytical protein detection platform.
