My Current role is Talent Acquisition Representative at Concentrix Ltd. I am part of the preplacement team in the Banking and Finance department. My main overall role is to vet potential candidates for positions with Banking clients, such as Lloyds, First Direct, Santander and others. My responsibilities involved; sending job offers/applications, performing background checks (credit, criminal, reference, etc) and hiring new employees (sending employment agreements/contracts, payroll register).Just before my first year in the role I was chosen to assist management with vetting current Concentrix employees looking to transfer to one of our banking campaigns. This was an added challenge as instead of working in a team I was solely responsible for all processes. As I progressed, I became a point of contact for colleagues in the vetting processes especially when it came to the newest campaign for Lloyds. As new staff joined the team or my supervisor wanted members cross trained, I was called upon to organise training sessions and shadow colleagues while teaching.

Initially, my main responsibilities involved, answering incoming phone calls, logging repairs over the phone or by email, helping customers at the front desk and taking payments for repairs either over the phone or face to face. As I excelled in these tasks I was charged with more responsibilities. These include offering technical advice, ordering parts for repairs, doing stock takes, logging credit returns for faulty parts, confirming warranty status for TV’s and logging warranty claims for completed repairs with manufacturers.

I was on the stock flow/replenishment team. I worked night shifts distributing the stock from deliveries, maintaining shelves, and general store upkeep. I would also assist customers with purchases whether that be, advising customers on products or helping customers transporting heavy purchases to their vehicles. I was adept at assisting those in need of electronic items and hardware tools by keeping my knowledge up to date.

I worked in the Clean Environments section monitoring cleaning contracts acquired by the company. This involved using an online database that recorded the cleaners’ log in data and I applied it to an excel report that shows the cleaners’ weekly progression. I also helped with the Medical Response Centre by receiving calls from Police detention centres that requested a medical professional to administer treatment to detained individuals.

My main responsibilities were to restock and maintain the shelves, working at the checkout, helping in the stock room, cleaning the floors during closing and general assisting the customers.

Magee - Londonderry

During the second year of my degree, I worked as a Residential Assistant for the student accommodation in Duncreggan Student Village. My responsibilities included; assisting the night security, being a role model for residents, performing safety checks and helping to organise social events for residents. During open days I escorted parents and potential new students around the student halls answering any questions and providing information on the variety of accommodation.
