I serve as Executive Director of the the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation, which operates seven provincial museums and heritage sites across the province and is responsible for a collection of more than 100,000 artifacts. I oversee all staff operations, guide strategic planning, and implement all programs and projects. My goal is to fulfill the Foundation's mandate to preserve, interpret and protect the human and natural history of Prince Edward Island.

It was my job to preserve, study and share the human and natural history of Prince Edward Island. I worked with the Foundation's seven sites to interpret the history of this province for Islanders and visitors alike. I was also editor of The Island Magazine, the official publication of the Museum and Heritage Foundation and I managed the Foundation's social media accounts, developing our social media strategy, creating content and engaging with users.

I taught History 3310: Prince Edward Island to 1873. The course traced the history of Epekwitk / Prince Edward Island from its beginning in layers of sediment washed off ancient mountains all the way to its entry into Canadian Confederation in 1873, It sought to explore the diversity of the Island experience, and the place of the Island in the history of the wider Atlantic world.

Collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to create online content, sharing human rights stories through the Museum's website and social media platforms. Included work on blogs, videos and social media campaigns.

Project coordinator and main author for two of the Museum’s annual reports: 2014-15 and 2015-16. Author of more than 60 blogs about human rights and human rights history, published on the Museum’s website. Creator of social media content on the Museum’s social media networks. Speechwriter for Museum staff, including the President and CEO. Occasionally served as public face of Museum, meeting with and being interviewed by members of the media.

Identified and researched content for two core galleries in the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Conducted oral histories as part of the research process. Worked with writers, researchers, educators, content contributors and designers to create permanent exhibits in these two galleries.

Researched Canadian Indigenous history. Met with stakeholders from the Indigenous community. Prepared content reports, including possible images for use in exhibits.

Teaching and grading HIST-3542-001: Class, Gender, and Ethnicity in Canadian HistoryDeveloped class schedule and reading list. Prepared and delivered lectures. Led discussion groups. Administered all grades and maintained office hours, providing both in-person and online support for students.

Taught and graded two full-year courses with 50 and 20 students respectively: HIST 1010-003 Canadian Social History: Conflict and ChangeHIST 3548-001 Alternative Visions: Rebels and Revolutionaries in Canadian HistoryDeveloped syllabus and overall course structure.
