• As a member of the Navy Security Force, I am experienced in performing Anti-Terrorism security,Force Protection and Basic Law Enforcement duties that include shore and pier sentry, harborsecurity, force protection conditions, physical security safeguards, tactical team communications and movements, apprehension and arrest techniques, firearm use, basic investigation techniques,crisis intervention, search and seizure, felony stops, and the use/application of force as it pertains to the duties of a U.S. Navy Security Force Member.• As a law enforcement officer, Iunderstand the role I play and responsibilities I have in preserving order and enforcement; I understand techniques for crisis intervention; demonstrate proficiency in arrest techniques,felony stops and apprehensions, patrol, firearms use; and understand and demonstrate the ability to render legally defensible actions in the use of force, arrest, and search and seizure. Iadvise suspects of acknowledgement and waiver of rights; apply rules of engagement and deadlyforce; apply use of force continuum; demonstrate knowledge of applicable jurisdiction and legallimitations; conduct preliminary investigations into Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ)violations; and provide testimony for official proceedings. • Conducts Guardmount; conducts corrections and detainee guard training; conducts security briefsand debriefs; surveys travel routes for protective service details; conducts security drills; conductssecurity exercises; conducts security training; conducts small arms and crew served weaponstraining; manages corrections and detainee unit programs; and supervises prisoner and detaineemovements and activities.conducts assault operations• Proficient in the use of firearms, including the M500 shotgun, M240 machine gun, M60 machine gun, M4 rifle, expert marksmanship on the M9 Service pistol, and expert marksmanship on the M16 rifle.
