About Matthew Phung
My name is Matthew Phung and I've always had a passion for storytelling. Ever since I was able to write, I was filling up pages and pages with stories of my own. Stories of great fire breathing dragons and heroic knights riding atop their mighty steeds. But these days, I'm more interested in writing other stories...Stories of data, stories of people and stories of human interaction. In my current role, I am trying to hear stories of young people experience mental health challenges. I'm trying to learn from their stories, and I'm part of a team that is trying to shape better outcomes for young people all over the world through research. In my previous roles, I have shared stories about mental health with all sorts of people. From parents to young men. I truly believe the value in these stories and believe in empathetically sharing them with the people that need to hear these stories the most.
