As a Director at Plastech® I take the lead on Sales across the business, supporting our Depot Sales Managers and their teams in Doncaster, Wigan and Shrewsbury. My time is primarily spent working with key accounts and also our supply chain. Listening to customer’s needs, providing technical expertise and delivering competitive commercial deals to deliver an extensive range of plastic pipe and drainage systems for large infrastructure projects in construction, civil engineering and agricultural environments.At Plastech® we pride ourselves on the level of support we give to Procurement Directors, Site Managers and Senior Project Managers responsible for large projects. The earlier we are involved in the project the more value we can bring. Technical understanding and product knowledge, backed up by high product availability and on-time-in-full delivery is key to ensuring major infrastructure projects stay on budget and on time, the Plastech® team understand this and our flexibility and high service levels is what keeps major customers coming back to us time and again. We wouldn’t be where we are today, one of the leading suppliers of plastic pipe and drainage systems in the UK, without a great supplier network. We take our supplier relationships seriously, this forms part of my job to actively build relationships with suppliers to ensure we’re buying the best products at the best price and that availability and delivery are consistently good for our customers. During the covid pandemic this really came into play, with lots of material shortages the Plastech® team worked together with our suppliers and across our own depot network to ensure good stock availability and delivery to customers. It was a tough time for everyone, and for Plastech® it showed how good our product availability is, as many customers switched to us because they could trust us to deliver on our order commitments and they have stayed with us because we consistently deliver for them.Our approach is simple:• we listen,• give accurate technical product advice, • provide quality products at a good fair price,• invest in a huge stock holding,• deliver when we say we will,• provide technical support when customers are installing on site.We’re consistently there for our customers and that makes me proud of all the Plastech® team and the way we work.
