My role in Ohm Power is to create a strategic vision, manage important resources, build a company culture, make sound business decisions, and deliver on performance targets. Ohm Power is an online software platform for homeowners to compare solar and battery power systems between various solar retailers for their property. Our impartial service enables a customer to directly make an offer to the retailer, dramatically improving transparency, purchase experience and ease of installing a battery storage system. The RMIT Entrepreneurship Association is a highly integrated student-run association. As an organisation REA serves as a stepping stone for entrepreneurial students to access the resources of RMIT University. A democratic student-run club that supports the development of entrepreneurship skills, provides industry exposure and builds professional experience for students starting their own venture. My role in the RMIT Entrepreneurship Association was to provide strategic guidance, establish partnerships and provide resources to help build the club. Selected by the Vice-Chancellor to represent RMIT University at the United Nations COP21 Conference in Paris. RMIT plays a critical role in shaping a sustainable future for the Asia-Pacific region, as the tertiary institution RMIT's responsibility is to lead a dialogue on addressing fundamental factors causing climate change, current projects such as the Sustainable Urban Precincts Program, 2020 Emissions Reduction Target, Melbourne Renewable Power Project, and Fossil Fuel Divestment are primary examples of their commitment. My role as the Representative to the United Nations COP21 Conference was to advocate for the divestment of fossil fuels, generate public awareness of RMIT's efforts to combat global warming, educate peers about Australia's commitments to the Paris agreement, and to build my knowledge on the drivers of climate change.
