I focus on the following areas of law:1. Estate Planning;2. Elder Law; and3. Probate/Trust Administration.Estate Planning incudes the preparation of Wills, Trusts, Advance Directives, Powers of Attorney, and other legal documents to assist with the disposition of one's property and the designation of agents to handle one's affairs. Elder Law is comprehensive elder care planning, which involves coordinating one's affairs to maximize their ability to provide for their long term care, protect assets and plan for incapacity. I am an accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs and can also help clients obtain the VA Improved Pension benefit to help pay for their long term care. Probate/Trust Administration involves facilitating the transfer of assets from one generation to the next upon the death of an individual.I received my B.A. with honors from Mississippi State University in 2003 and my J.D. from Texas A&M School of Law, Fort Worth, in 2007. I was a national finalist in the 2007 ABA National Moot Court Competition, having authored my team's appellate brief, which placed second in the nation. I was awarded Order of the Barristers in May of 2007. I like to be active and enjoy lifting weights, running, camping and other recreational sports. I am admitted to practice law in Tennessee, and am a member of the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations. I am also involved with the Professional Network on Aging.
