As an Environmental Engineering and Science graduate, I have a passion for working to improve the sustainability of engineering processes and reducing the impact of our society on the environment. I am currently working in environmental management in the construction industry, employed by Laing O'Rourke as part of the South Eastern Program Alliance (SEPA) on several Level Crossing Removal Projects. I have gained significant experience in environmental management in this role. This ranges from program-wide environmental work to the on-site, practical management of construction projects. I have experience with soil, water, ecology, noise, and vibration impacts associated with project works in this role. Further to this, I have significant skills in data analysis and have working experience with ArcGIS and the Microsoft Office Suite. I also have extensive experience with volunteering in a number of organizations associated with the environmental industry, including Landcare Australia and the Bayside Community Indigenous Plant Nursery (run by the Bayside City Council). I have gained significant communication and teamwork skills, and practical work experience in sustainability projects through my roles as a volunteer. I have gained significant ecological knowledge, particularly in relation to Indigenous birds, plants, and ecosystems in the Melbourne region. I have worked in the Bayside Indigenous Flora Reserves undertaking weed and plant management, and in Flora and Fauna projects in the Nillumbik Shire overseen by Strathewen Landcare and the Nillumbik Council.
