I have been working in the field of cyber security for 6 years and enjoy both the technical apsects as well communicating about security with other people of all different levels of technical understanding.I am interested in the current volume of data traversing and being stored on the Internet, and with the increasingly sophisticated attacks that steal or compromise this data.My roles have included the review of information security risk assessments for technologies which were to be deployed across the enterprises. This has involved assessment of the likelihood and severity of security risks across a number of domains, and whether any exisiting mitigating controls were present.I have an eye for detail and pay attention to seemingly trivial anomolies which may be overlooked, as this is often where threats can exist.My daily responsibilities have consisted of continuous monitoring and investigation of suspicious activity in both on-premise and cloud environments.I have hands-on experience using: • Splunk • Palo Alto XDR & XSOAR • Rapid7 InsightIDR • Microsoft Defender • Forcepoint Web Proxy • Sophos email appliances.I have been responsible for creating cyber security reports in Power BI and writing and maintaining the associated documentation.I am diligent with creating & maintaining thorough documentation.
