I want to introduce myself as an Instructional Designer, and Media Specialist whose life mission is to act with integrity, communicate with a purpose, and perform at my best.Currently, I am an Instructional Designer with Penn State. I manage and coordinate new course developments in collaboration with our multimedia specialists, instructional production specialists, Instructional Designers, and faculty. I design using the A.D.D.I.E. model and various other methods, including backward design, S.A.M., understanding by design, scaffolding, Bloom's Taxonomy and principals of design, Quality Matters best practices, and of course, inspiration. I also prescribe to the philosophy of a Growth Mindset and Universal Design for Learning theory which aids in reaching a broad spectrum of learners. Along with new course development, my other responsibilities include supporting a portfolio of online courses, coordinating new iterations and updates for each new semester, and faculty training. Last summer, I collaborated with faculty to redesign P.S.U.'s summer LEAP program to be more effective for remote delivery during COVID. I had the pleasure of guest lecturing and supporting incoming first-year students in the process. I also led most of our department's faculty training sessions to prepare our faculty for remote learning in the fall of 2020.Throughout my career, I've enjoyed applying my skills, ranging from instructional design and teaching to video production and multimedia. I strive to innovate and think creatively when solving present challenges. Hopefully, my resume and work experiences will interest you.I am confident that my experiences in the education and entertainment industries coupled with a creative entrepreneurial spirit would be an asset to your business.
