I'm a golang software engineer at Oracle focused on the backend, devops and SRE related components of Oracle's managed Kubernetes offering. In this role I work as an individual contributor primarily responsible for daily sprint tasks as well production support. Primarily responsible for coding of golang backend services and APIs as well as writing unitand integration tests to clearly outline the intention of the code. Coding deployment and configuration management (primarily chef/ruby) for application deployment.Deployment responsibilities include but not limited to: software and datastore upgrades (blue/green), data migration, failover, load balancing, service discovery, security, logging, monitoring, metricsParticipation in peer coding reviews and design discussions for user stories.Responsible for assisting in and troubleshooting late night production deployments aswell as on call for emergency service outages.

Effectively analyzes technical requirements in coordination with business requirements. Troubleshoots and configures current code as well as immediate response needed production issues. Participates in project planning and advise project team of all options from the perspective of not only code but also client coordinated delivery, server efficiency and network security. Plans and executes system tests and writes complex code in many areas surrounding the products including web services, complex SQL/code interactions, and SAML/SSO applications. Responsible for translating technical information so that all stakeholders and team members understand the project. Spends extra time working on tools to increase my own productivity and, if applicable, the entire department. Generate development scripts in accordance with company protocol in the form of SQL or internal MACRO language. Controls data in accordance with the organization and clients specific security policies. SME in the build and deploy process of the platform.

Works in maintaining and debugging solutions through implementing coding updates and enhancements.. Responsible for handling all package requests for the Fort Lauderdale office.Also responsible for managing there deployment and lifecycle along with the BAs.Currently working on a Build Engineering project for modifying and simplifying the method of building and packaging solutions.
