An Electrical/Electronic manufacturing company; responsible for the development of new & existing products; reporting to Design & Quality Manager, duties include:  Develop new and existing products from conception to manufacture, through to product delivery Design parts for injection moulding and CNC machining Collaborate with Product Strategy Managers & Marketing teams to define product specifications Introduce new product design and development to meet customer needs Ensure design fulfils the expected product performance, is on schedule, and within budget Produce design models for assembly, inspection and review operations  Report performance tests and quality check results to Senior Managers during review meetings  Update the project tracking/management software to maintain project schedules and communicate status  Produce detail drawings for manufacturing department and perform revisions to ensure these are up-to-date Monitor product progress through all manufacturing stages, assembled and tested manufactured prototypes Coordinate all product activities with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing Monitor suppliers to ensure specifications of new materials and required quality standards are fulfilled Prepare drawing & design documentation, drawing changes, information updates, customer information & specification sheets that include testing procedures  Ensure compliance with Global Engineering standards and regulations including EN9100, BS8888 and BS9001 Contribute to departmental performance reviews by suggesting design process improvements
