Lead a team to provide for the safety and security of 7,000 staff in 50 countries. Serve as the organizational leader on all policies, trainings, initiatives, and response to safeguarding issues to ensure the well-being of our beneficiaries and consumers in their interactions with PSI.

Lead the organization in all matters of safety and security globally, to include incident response; natural disaster preparedness; training initiatives; country contingency planning; and crisis management at the organizational level.

Build the capacity of PSI staff by providing technical assistance with regard to safety security policies, practices, and procedures. Create and evaluate safety and security policies, plans, and procedures; update safety and security materials; advise country offices on best practices, security management structures, training, and mentoring of PSI country office staff. Support HQ crisis management team. Contribute to strategic planning at all levels of the organization. Provide training and briefings to staff and travelers.

Serve as the volunteer Chair of the OSAC International Development Working Group (IDWG) under the US State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC). The IDWG serves the development community's safety and security needs through information-sharing, trainings, best practice guidance, and networking opportunities.Similarly, I served as a member of the IDWG Steering Committee from 2016-2017, which included winning 2017 Common Interest Council of the year.

Provide strategic and operational level technical assistance related to a wide range of safety, security, and wellness issues for 9 countries in East and Central Africa. Develop and enforce CARE policies and best practices that advance the needs of the region and the Security Unit.
