Responsible for representing Association of Accredited Certification Bodies on Standards Australia Committees: FP-002 Fire Detection, Warning, Control and Intercom Systems, and FP-018 Fire Safety that develop important Standards for the ANZ region.

This includes the fire suppression and life safety technologies sector and the passive fire protection sector. Maintaining effective connections with key industry stakeholders to improve trust, confidence and safety.

Responsible for representing the views of FPA Australia on the ABCB's peak building technical advisory committee. The Building Codes Committee is a national forum for regulatory authorities and industry and provides advice and recommendations to the ABCB on technical matters relevant to the Building Code of Australia, strategic policy relevant to building control and the merits of proposal to change the Building Code of Australia.

Responsible for managing delivery of the Associations technical services and activities nationally, and internationally, to assist members and advocate improved fire protection outcomes for the community with stakeholders across Australia in relation to the protection of life, property and the environment.

Responsible for upholding and implementing the responsibilities of the Building Appeals Board pursuant to the Building Act 1993.

Responsible for providing technical support to Country Fire Authority to assist in meeting organisational responsibilities in the built environment.
