The National Commercial Manager is the key finance business partner to the Sales Director (150 people, $48m budget in direct selling and overheads) and the Operations Director (120 people, five breweries, $60m in operational costs). As commercial partner to the National Sales Director (approx 80% of the role), the National Commercial Manager works closely with the entire sales executive team - setting business objectives and determining the medium term path for the sales organisation. The commercial team supporting sales had eleven members - four commercial managers, four management accountants and three commercial analysts.As commercial partner to the Operations Director (approx 20% of the role), the role was very strategic, driving performance in the brewery supply chain and setting direction on future operations and distribution investments. A commercial team of four supported the Operations and Distribution executive team.

Responsible for financial control and reporting at Air New Zealand Engineering - all balance sheet control, corporate reporting and corporate forecasting/planning. Primarily based in London, it provided internet professional services to blue chip companies (Sony and Land Rover) and partnered with the big-5 consultancies (Accenture at Consignia - the UK Post Office - and Disney) to deliver eCommerce and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions.
