Resulted in the creation of 18 project teams to implement the terms of the agreement focusing quality assurance and risk management.• Work closely with legislature to successfully maneuver Governor’s legislative priorities through the General Assembly and then manage implementation through the agencies. • Collaborated on the Virginia Health Reform Initiative, an effort to reform Virginia’s Medicaid program. Worked closely with the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to create a Behavioral Health Organization, achieved approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for a duals eligible project to better coordinate care for individuals eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. • Helping lead initiative to increase the number of children adopted from foster care system known as “VA Adopts: Campaign for 1000.”• Oversaw eHHR initiatives requiring collaboration across multiple agencies to automate existing manual systems to increase efficiencies and improve customer experiences. • Deputy Secretaries are the first point of contact with the Agency Heads and provide general oversight and project management. • Responsible for review and approval of all regulatory actions within Secretariat.

(Dep’t of Health v.NRV Real Estate, LLC, 278 Va. 181, 677 S.E.2d 276 (2009))• Reviewed on behalf of the Attorney General transactions involving non-profit health care entities that merged or otherwise disposed of charitable assets to ensure asset protection.• Drafted and reviewed legislation for General Assembly sessions. Worked closely with legislators and lobbyists regarding proposed legislation and monitored General Assembly committees for legislative team.• Received May 2009 Employee of the Month acknowledgement.
