Seasonal, casual work during the University holidays. Not always the most glamorous work, though it had its highlights, such as guarding a swan at a rugby match. My drive, ethics and capability often resulted in permanent job offers, though my return to university meant I ethically had to decline their kind offers. The work was varied and included night shifts, warehouses, deliveries, guarding, factories, manufacturing etc. It was hard and I learned a great deal about interacting with people of all intellects and cultures, most of all I learned how important it was that I did well at university.
