As a Senior Creative Technology Lead at Instrument, I'm exploring the wild west of generative AI on a team of very cool creative technologists called Sandbox. We're tasked to envision a future where AI empowers rather than replaces, to uncover how AI can be used as a tool for human growth and potential and share those learnings both internally and with the world. There's no guidebook or best practices in this space, and we want to help discover and define what those could be.The best way to navigate this new frontier is by building. So we rapidly prototype our ideas, turning theories into tangible coded experiences. Generative AI unlocks a universe of new interaction possibilities, and the only way to truly unlock its potential is to get our hands dirty and start creating. Watching a rough idea turn into an experience that has never really existed before is a beautiful feeling. And, by the way, it is reeeeeeeeally fun.I feel incredibly lucky to be part of this team and I can't wait to share our discoveries and innovations with the world. I'm the kind of creative tech who loves the gray areas. I don't fully fit into any one bucket, and that keeps things fresh. You'll find me sketching out ideas in Figma one minute and tinkering with code the next. I'm quick and proactive; I can whip up prototypes in a snap. I think playing with the thing you're trying to build is how you make something great. Make mistakes, throw it out, try again. When new tools or tech comes around you'll find me diving in headfirst and figuring things out on the fly. I make the best work on a good team, where everyone's in sync, trusts each other, and loves what they do. I'm also a bit of a mentor at heart; I owe a lot to the people who took me under their wings, and want to pay that forward as much as I can.
