My legal practice is devoted to tax law in connection with business transactions, trusts and estates, real estate, and other matters involving complex and sensitive tax issues. Tax controversy is a substantial part of my practice. I routinely represent business and individual clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities, and where matters cannot be resolved at the administrative level, I also represent clients in tax litigation, including law and motion, trials, and appellate representation at the federal and state levels. Before entering private practice, I served as a trial attorney for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, where I litigated hundreds of cases in the U.S. Tax Court and advised IRS representatives on substantive and procedural tax matters involving examination, Appeals, collection, bankruptcy, and complex investigations.
