During my time at Porter Novelli as a Senior Account Executive, I provided purpose-driven media relations assistance across multiple integrated public relations campaigns for corporate and nonprofit clients that included the Aetna, ALS Association, American Red Cross, Birds Eye, Blue Shield of California, Sabin Vaccine Institute, and Solid Gold Pet. My responsibilities included developing written media materials and assisting in the management of tactical PR plans that included purpose-driven media campaigns, thought-leadership plans, and event planning.

As the Media Relations Manager for Elevator North, I generated consumer awareness through national print and multimedia outlets from television to social media and everything in between. During my time as a PR intern at Kel & Partners, my primary responsibilities included hands-on assistance with a team of Account Coordinator, Account Executives, and Account Managers. My work con consisted of building media lists of targeted contacts, client news research, media research, pitch writing, and participation in team brainstorms.

During my time as an Assistant Account Executive for Jerry Thomas PR, I was fortunate to help manage a diverse set of client accounts ranging from political and educational nonprofits to media entertainers. My typical week consisted of pitching to the press, drafting copy, new business development campaigns, client consultation and leading a team of talented Interns.

As an Intern I assisted in the development of an independent film based in Chicago. I worked in reaching out to entertainment publications to secure interviews and write-ups about the film. My duties included brainstorming outreach ideas, developing new business marketing campaigns, social media advertising and assisting in the development of appropriate news stories.

In my time at Granite I began as an Intern and found myself being promoted to an Assistant Account Executive in only three months. Working Granite allowed me to stress my strong interpersonal skills by wearing many hats for the clients I consulted for. My aid included the maintenance of clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. I oversaw and handled billing, customer service, sales and acted as the direct resource for the clients I work for. The services I provided included wireless data, internet and business security, as well as voice and telecom solutions.

Shortly after graduating from DePaul I was quick to find my first postgraduate career as a data analyst for Blue Cross Blue Shield. It was here that I specialized in the research of insurance claims for insurance providers. My position required me to hold a strong understanding and constant use of data entry systems as well as Microsoft systems like Office, Excel and Outlook. While I worked in a team setting I was trusted by my supervisors to independently perform and lead daily tasks. Working at Blue Cross Blue Shield allowed me the insight of working for a major company and provided me the ability to work well under pressure and multitask on a strict deadline basis.

At the Boston Veterans Association hospital I catered to the veterans and hospital staff. My duties included arranging special events for public figures and patients. During my time here I worked efficiently with doctors and staff to manage orders on equipment in a timely manner.

I worked with a small team specializing in customer care for a large hospital. I specialized in event planning, customer care and communication with patients, families and staff. My duties included office tasks as well as handling the delicate request and needs of hospital patients. Working in a high-pressure hospital setting allowed me to round my skills as a strong communicator and be able to assist patients and staff with their immediate needs.
