Manage the LBG fundraising partnership with Mental Health UK engaging with 75% of staff fundraising for Charity of the Year. Currently involved in Data Management of tens of thousands of colleagues and Quality initiative to drive Defect Identification earlier in SDLC and where possible remove defect injection in IT Projects.

Founder of Memusi Foundation. Leads educational development programmes with schools in Kenya and Tanzania. Working directly with community groups who are passionate about education & government the Foundation works to help people realise their own dreams through education. Strategic direction setting for the Foundation working with board of Trustees and focussing on studying the needs of those who Memusi seek to serve. Strategic development of Programmes collaborating with key partners to increase access to education, educational standards, reduced absence & increased engagement of girls into schooling. From the development of new schools to influencing local policy change, community engagement programmes, disaster relief, adult literacy, female rights & equality, health & hygiene leading extensive change in Eastern Africa over a decade.

The Non-Profit and Charity Network is a network designed to provide a common place and network for those people involved in these specific areas. With over 14,000 members and increasing daily, this is one of the biggest networks that bring together like minded people in the Charity and NGO sectors to share ideas and best practice, leveraging opportunities to develop impact.

Operating as Chair of the incredible Happydays charity supporting homeless people through rehabilitation programmes.

It is the goal of the MHPF to provide education to those people who are not fortunate enough to have readily available access. An unacceptable level of more than 145 million of the worlds children are deprived of education. It is the goal of MHPF to provide support to some of those children and to offer hope. The foundation started supporting the Maasai people of Kenya and Tanzania, but has grown due to the fact that lack of education is so widespread in the world. Within the role, responsibilities extend to relationship establishment, vision casting and direction setting, enhancement and management between MHPF and the schools in which it supports. The MHPF is currently supporting a number of schools across Africa and operating as the Executive Director, Matthew is working in Partnership with the Foundation CEO to further establish the work that MHPF are doing as well growing the work and support in both Africa and other areas of the world.

As part of the Operational Excellence team within Application Delivery and Management, Matthew is responsible for helping to shape and drive key aspects of IT delivery. From Release Management to SDLC research, each area requires a high level of quality and delivery.

Working on the Process Optimisation Programme, focussing on the implementation and capabilities of Sharepoint. The main area of focus is software research into the capbilities of the software and analysis of the requirements of main stakeholding departments.Also playing a key role in developing a metrics solution for the final delivery of the project. Working with the Metrics Workstream PM in design of the final solution, the role involves research into the available tools and development of the end solution. The solution developed delivers over and above all current project management metric solutions within the organisation.

Throughout time as a Senior Developer, a key member in the delivery of numerous key projects for Group Pensions at HBoS Plc. This has included 'Pensions A Day' configuration, Pension Transformation Project Phase 2 & 3, which saw the successful migration of the Bank of Scotland, Birmingham Midshires and Clerical Medical schemes with the existing Halifax member data into 1 consolidated system. In addition to the successful migration, also a key member of the technical infrastructure design team in Pension Transformation 4, which will see the migration of the Defined Contribution scheme at HBoS migrated and the introduction of Workflow and Electronic Document Management.

Lead Develop of Corporate Site Software Packaging of standard and non-standard applications including Perl scripting and scripting of Anti-Virus and Security Hotfixes. This covered several hundred servers across the landscape and several thousand workstations.

As the 3rd year of BA Business Computing at the University of Sunderland, Matthew worked as an employee of RP Hodsons (Insurnace Brokers) Ltd primarily helping support the organisation migrate from MS DOS to MS Windows. In addition to working in the support role, Matthew was solely responsible for the development of an application for a subsidiary Plant Inspection company. The application provided the ability of performance improvement though report production increasing from 2 reports per hour to 40 reports in the same time period.
