I want to help people craft engaging content that cuts through the noise of modern communications to reach an audience. I’ve done this across a number of marketing channels, including social media, sales materials, advertising, PR, website content and blogging.As someone who has quite personally come of age alongside social platforms (Facebook and I made our college campus debuts the same year), I’m especially drawn to the ways people, organizations and brands can forge the boundaries of these new mediums, not just repeat the same message.Much of my day-to-day experience is with copyediting, copywriting and social media management. I strive for professional and revealing content that hits its intended audience and can even bring in some new ones.Specialties include:• Copywriting and editing: I have extensive involvement in print and digital content creation, primarily writing but also helping guide pieces from planning and design through final print/publication• Social media management: Overall platform strategy, content creation and calendar management and consumer interaction. With so many new ways to reach people, staying on top of trends is one thing; determining how and where to allocate resources is indispensable.• Research: I’ve worked with marketing, sales and legal teams to track industry trends and competitive developments. Whether it’s writing for a handful of wonks or thousands of customers, I can pare away the clutter to provide detailed, digestible work.Some of my non-professional skills include excessive coffee consumption, a love/hate obsession with pop culture and the ability to binge a full season of prestige television on a single Sunday without the need for food or social interaction.
