I am a Vice President in the Internal Audit department at HCA Healthcare in Nashville, TN. In this role, I provide leadership and strategic direction for the Information Technology Audit, as well as the Audit Analytics & Software Development teams. This includes providing oversight for complex consulting engagements, technology audits, and operational reviews. I have been heavily involved in evaluating projects related to HCA Healthcare’s implementation of a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) strategy. In addition, I have significant experience auditing HCA Healthcare's cybersecurity initiatives, as well as other regulatory compliance areas, including the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), HIPAA Security / Privacy, and Sarbanes-Oxley. I have over 20 years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, and business operational process auditing and consulting. I am a graduate of Tennessee Technological University where I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. I have been an active member of several professional organizations, including ISACA, AHIA, HIMSS, and ISSA. I have been an active member of the Middle TN ISACA Chapter for over two decades, including serving in leadership roles such as Chapter President, Vice President, and Membership Director. Finally, I have earned multiple certifications, including the CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, and CHIAP.
