Driving force to introduce federal business assistance programs to Gulf Coast cities, counties, states and businesses impacted by the Gulf oil spill. Anticipating state and local business assistance needs, collaborated with DOC political leadership, the White House, federal and state economic development agencies to lead a tiger team to deliver economic development and business assistance programs to cities, counties, states and economic development districts in the Gulf Coast region. Identified organization and program goals, risks and objectives and collaborated across federal agencies to formulate a budget and performance metrics and developed action plans. Recruited and trained cross-functional teams in outreach skills and developed their knowledge of federal state and local economic development programs.
