Completed a senior thesis where I designed an experiment to test the capabilities of a pyroelectric array. Using a LabVIEW program to help a predict beam expansion, I created, built, and maintained a three-lens system to direct Terahertz radiation onto a target sample, and then the detector. Precise alignment of the system was required.Conducted literature searches on pyroelectric materials and arrays, optical imaging of tissue, terahertz waveguides, and near and far field detectors. Trained to operate the lab’s CO2 Far-Infrared laser, analyze optical data for skin tissue, and handle cryogenic and hazardous materials.Coded using LabVIEW Visual Programming
