This product provides a feature rich offering that will make CenturyLink a leader in the SIP Trunk market while reducing high operational costs required to support VoIP systems. Managed the development and launch of new products and services; primarily focused on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Unified Communications and 911 services. Responsibilities included defining new products, creating business case reports for executive review, managing equipment installations, overseeing lab testing, developing provisioning and troubleshooting processes, coordinating customer trials and first office applications trials.- Led a team to develop the first VoIP Trunking product for Embarq. Simultaneously launched in three major Embarq markets. Managed the technical design, provisioning methods and procedures, pricing, marketing, and training from start to finish.- Critical member of the VoIP Hosted Voice and Data product team. Defined the specific product features, functionality and transport requirements. Led Information Technology business requirements creation for coding by the development teams. Provided expertise on the Broadsoft system architecture, capabilities and limitations. - Lead role in the launch of Embarq’s first hosted VoIP product. Developed provisioning methods and procedures, training programs and marketing documents. Organized a comprehensive usability testing program and ensured the correction of all major issues before launch. Facilitated a product trial with State of Florida government agencies that led to the product’s recognition as the premier VoIP solution for the state.- Architect of a new half million dollar voicemail message center. After identifying capacity issues on the legacy system, quickly oversaw the new design, sought funds and project managed the installation.

Directed deployment operations including mission/logistical planning for 740 personnel and $156M in deployable communications systems. Oversaw maintenance operations, ensuring combat readiness for 5,600 communications systems. Directed daily maintenance operations. Briefed Commanders weekly on equipment status, enabling leadership to make key decisions. Authored strategic planning and operations manual that encompassed the entire unit’s deployable communications packages and support equipment.- Deployed equipment and personnel in 96 hours to support security operations at the Dubai Air Show in response to terrorist threats. - Oversaw the preparation and deployment of 256 personnel and 200 tons of equipment to 27 locations worldwide; ensuring communications needs were met to support war fighters throughout the world.

Led 28 individuals responsible for deployment, installment, operations and maintenance of $28M in airfield support equipment, including: airport surveillance, precision approach radars, mobile air traffic control tower, and tactical air navigation systems.- Spearheaded the first ever in-garrison flight checks of Airfield Systems equipment, enabling technicians to gain invaluable troubleshooting experience that saved time and lives while supporting real-world missions.- Led the tactical mobilization of radar equipment for first time in 3 years; proved unit’s readiness for combat operations.

Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq

Responsible for managing the engineering and installation of all new Air Force communications requirements on the installation. Led 18 major projects and oversaw the completion of 180 new communications needs, supporting over 5,000 customers.- Engineered and drove 5 major cable projects valued at $1.2M+, eliminating single points of failure through redundant service paths and extended services to 12 new facilities.- Spearheaded a $250K base-wide mobile radio upgrade; increased range over 50% greatly increasing security effectiveness.- Led planning and installation of a $350K project to provide data and telephone services to an 800+ person dormitory; resulting in momentous improvements to personnel accountability and moral.

Provided management and strategic direction for 32 personnel responsible for combat supply warehouse, vehicle operations and maintenance, civil engineering, environmental management and logistical support for 820 personnel. - Maintained a 97.4% in-commission rate on a fleet of 402 combat support vehicles poised to respond to national crisis situations.

Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar

Executive Officer for the commander of the largest deployed operations group in the US Air Force with over 1,100 personnel. Liaison between Commanders and other US and Coalition Commanders and their staffs. Led staff of 3 individuals, responsible for accurate accounting of decorations, personnel rosters, unit control center operations, group-wide policies and administrative files.- Spearheaded the standup of a new aviation unit; coordinated the procurement of three C-21 airframes and associated maintenance support, enabling mission critical airlift throughout the theatre of operations.- Identified need to optimize combat training; distributed local in-flight guides and manuals to new units before their arrival in Qatar; saved 20+ hours of training, enabling pilots to be combat ready sooner.

Langley Air Force Base, Virginia

Responsible for setting the information management policy for 4 squadrons and 300+ personnel. Reviewed, wrote and edited the Commander’s correspondence and coordinated flying schedule, staff meetings and presentations for the Commander. - Maintained 100% on-time rate for all suspenses, taskings and awards to headquarters leadership.- Operations Center Executive Officer during Wing’s deployment to Iraq war; acted as a key participant in executive-level decision making.- Organized the unit’s evacuation during major hurricane, establishing a 24-hour Control Center to account for all personnel. - Led efforts to prepare the unit’s facilities for server flooding, resulting in minimal damage to unit’s resources.

Langley Air Force Base, Virginia

Led two work centers consisting of eight personnel, responsible for upgrades, modifications, and management of Langley Air Force Base’s local area network, serving over 12,000 users. - Led installation of a network upgrade that increased information transfer nodes from 3 to 9, dramatically increasing network speeds and redundancy.- Implemented Air Combat Command’s first encrypted dial-up network capability, providing leadership with immediate access to vital secure communications while deployed.
