I am an attorney at Much, where I serve as vice chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment group and help employers of all sizes develop strategies and solutions to promote compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws. In addition to legal advice, clients call on me for practical business advice that allows them to mitigate legal risk while growing their ventures.I regularly advise clients on hiring and termination, restrictive covenants, COVID-19 pandemic-related issues, wage and hour requirements, discrimination and harassment, medical leaves, and related matters. My experience spans issues arising under discrimination laws, such as Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and wage and hour laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA). I’m also well versed in the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), and myriad other laws.Clients also rely on me to assist with harassment compliance training and to draft employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment-related documents in a matter to protect and preserve flexibility for employers. I understand that clients want to focus on their business, not litigation. However, should litigation come, I also represent and defend employers in litigation in numerous settings, including state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
