I have been a part of this company since before it was officially started. Due to the size of the company, everyone wears multiple hats. I have been part of the planning and design phase, initial product role out, sales calls, conference booth design and sales, strategies and planning, and continued software development.

Even though this position did not last as long as I would have liked, I really enjoyed my time at Rivian. As a Field Specialist, my responsibilities included ensuring the proper paperwork was in place, delivering the vehicles, performing demo drives on-site at the service center or at-home, and training the customer on how to use their new, Technologically advanced, truck. During my time here, I also helped create a more fluid Pre-Delivery inspection process, helped create a Scout position to make sure customers were welcomed and placed with the appropriate department as well as alleviate the potential confusion new customers had with our Service Center, and was put in charge of the office functionality, submitting tickets, and following up with repairs and services. I also advocated for training on Scout roles and responsibilities, Pre-Delivery inspection training, and systems training. Unfortunately, my time here was cut short and I was unable to see these things come fully to fruition.

I was with the Geek Squad in Anchorage AK, Victorville CA, and Phoenix, AZ. I did a bit of it all during my time, but what I was most proud about was training the new employees and the ones that wanted to acquire new skill sets. Businesses run smoother when on going training and development are a focus. I implemented training procedures, certifications, and kept in touch with my trainees to ensure the new info and processes stuck. I also implemented a Ride-Along program to get the sales staff with the installers so that they knew what installations looked like, best practices for selling appropriate services, and comfortability with selling things previously outside of their knowledge base.

I started as an Inventory Specialist, but was promoted to Inbound Product Lead. I supervised the crews unloading the trucks, replenishing stock on shelves, accounted for all high dollar product, back stock organization, warehouse organization, as well as training all new employees on roles and responsibilities. During the holiday seasons, I was promoted to Overnight Lead, and would run the overnight crew. My roles were similar to the truck lead position, but with a deadline where everything needed to be done, cleaned, and organized.

I started working for Best Buy in 2004 as a cashier, but moved out of that role quickly into the Home Theater Specialist position. I worked in this position intermittently throughout my career at Best Buy. I started in the main department, but moved into the Magnolia Home Theater position shortly after. I was in charge of training new employees on product and sales, as well as maintaining sales quotas, and ensuring the customers were taken care of from the moment they walked in until after their installation was complete. I was also the Home Theater Advisor for a time in Anchorage, as well as in Victorville, CA, where I worked with the Geek Squad as well as the store's sales departments to sell the appropriate equipment and services. During this time I trained employees on sales as well as installation. I also had the sales staff get to know their installers, and become more comfortable with the installation process.
