At my core, I absolutely love exploring the way electrical systems work. I adore the challenge of conceptualizing a structure first, before researching its true form. Be it scientifically or artistically, I’m drawn to projects that improve my community and enhance quality of life. I’m ethically driven and work hard to bring out the best in my environment. At the end of the day, I enjoy a healthy work-life balance.Eclectic curiosity of the big city led me to Los Angeles in 2011. I began my career as a chemist at Clean Harbors transporting HAZMAT; I glowed at the opportunity. Before long, I was contracted to work at UC, Irvine, where I inventoried, bulked, and packed a plethora of lab chemicals on a monthly basis. Next up, as an electronics assembler at Carlisle IT, I was assigned an additional task of testing incoming spools of coaxial cable to ensure they met company standards. In doing so, I taught myself a dozen assembly lines in their entirety, ultimately paving my path to checksum testing logic analyzer probes in an ESD environment. Most recently, at LADOT, I revisited Autocad as a means to design traffic signal schematics. I was immediately immersed in complicated projects, most memorably, restoring a hole in Skid Row drilled from sidewalk level down, inches from breaching the cellar of a saloon.When I’m not jamming to the latest Noisia Radio podcast, I enjoy producing music at my home studio. Fourier and Laplace transforms are my secret weapons, “Shhh.” Frequency analysis is my microscope to synthesize speaker shaking sub bass. Transient design is my trowel to sculpt chest pounding kick drums. FM is my enharmonic generator to recreate the coveted 1990s pop cowbell. Impulse responses are my Polaroids to capture and mimic the acoustic reverberation of Abbey Road Studios, among others.
